Crandon Public Library to extend hours
(Crandon Library News) - Crandon Public Library’s new director Michelle Gobert is pleased to announce that effective Jan. 5, 2009, the Crandon Public Library will increase its hours of business from 37.5 hours per week to 44 hours per week. The library will open each day at 9 a.m. and extend its Thursday evening hours to 7 p.m.
The new library hours will be as follows: Monday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to noon.
New fiction titles at the library this week include: The Charlemagne Pursuit by Steve Berry, Arctic Drift by Clive Cussler, Fire and Ice by Julie Garwood, Born to Run by James Grippando, Black Ops by WEB Griffen, Blood Sins by Kay Hooper, Cruel Intent by Judith A. Jance, The Treasure by Iris Johansen and Songs for the Missing by Stewart O'Nan.
Non-fiction titles added this week include: I am a Soldier Too: The Jessica Lynch Story (donated in memory of Aaron Smith), The Ghost Mountain Boys: Their Epic March and Terrifying Battle for New Guinea, The Forgotten War of the South Pacific (donated in memory of Gene Resch by Tim and Cindy Bahr), Iwo Jima: World War II Veterans Remember the Greatest Battle of the Pacific (donated in memory of Gene Resch by Tima and Cindy Bahr) and Breathitt County Memories: Remembering Breathitt County and Jackson During the Last Century (donated in memory of his Kentucky Kin by Bill Sundberg).
New children's titles include: If You Give a Cat a Cupcake by Laura Joffe Numeroff, Big Words for Little People by Jamie Lee Curtis, Fancy Nancy by Jane O'Connor and Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney.
