Santa Claus is coming to town
The Crandon Area Chamber of Commerce, along with its co-sponsor the American Transmission Company, has scheduled the annual Tree Lighting and Flashlight Parade for Friday, Dec. 5. All participants are invited to meet in front of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church by 6 p.m. for a caroling stroll around the courthouse square area and Dr. Rebecca Perry’s fabulous display of lights. American Transmission Company is providing a number of flashlights, or you can bring your own. Don’t forget to wear warm clothes!
Free hot chocolate (compliments of Citgo Quick Mart) and cookies will be served at Tricia’s Treasures following the parade. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus have also promised to be on hand to meet with kids of all ages so kids should plan to bring their lists. Prizes will be available for kids 12 and under after the tree lighting ceremony.
Area retailers have scheduled the Christmas Open House Friday through Sunday to kick off the holiday shopping season in the Crandon area.
