Sarah Marti
Sarah Marti, granddaughter of Joan Ward of Crandon, was recently selected to perform at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 3 in San Antonio.
Marti, a Waukesha West High School senior, has been playing clarinet since she was in fifth grade and said her love of marching band has been fueled by the intensity of the competitions and the camaraderie that goes along with the marching season.
Her hard work and dedication over the years is now earning her national recognition by being selected for the annual U.S. Army All-American Marching Band. The band selects the top 97 high school marching band performers in the country each year. To be selected for this band is one of the top honors a high school marching band performer can earn.
