News : A busy and exciting week for the students

(Cavour News) - It's going to be a busy and exciting week for the Laona and Wabeno students as they get ready to celebrate their homecoming on Saturday. Every day they will be dressed up as something different. Friday the students will wear their spirit shirts showing their school spirit. The game will be on Friday night and the dance will be on Saturday night in Laona. Good luck Rebels!

Visiting at their cabin over the weekend were Mike and Marie Schmitz.

James Aschenbrenner of Cavour has received a associate of applied science degree in electronics from NWTC of Green Bay and Rhinelander.

JC Kounik spent the weekend working on his cabin.

Ken and Kelly Carroll recently celebrated their wedding anniversary of seven years.

Patty Egan spent a few days in Appleton at a conference. She also visited with her daughter Kayla and granddaughter Kylee on Sunday.

Bruce Sturzl and guys spent the weekend helping Ken and Kelly build a new garage.

Lori and Abbey visited in Cavour on Sunday.

Shelley Stauber visited in Cavour on Saturday with Patty, Kylee and Beth and also with Barb and Lori Cleereman and family.

News from last week

Kayla Egan and her daughter Kylee spent the weekend at the Warren Egan home.

Kyle Albrecht and friend Morgan Stamper visited with relatives in Cavour on Sunday.

Chris Houle from Appleton was at his place over the weekend.

Visitors were up at the Barb Domzil cabin. Mutz Greve visited Mary Murray in Hiles on Sunday.

Patty Egan, Lori and I shopped in Rhinelander last Friday.

Gary and Diane Schmitz and Mike and Marie Schmitz were up at their cabins and visited with Mutz on Sunday.

Does anyone remember when they used feed sacks in the 40’s? I hear they were used for clothes, dish towels, curtains, and even couch covers. I guess we are lucky to have such soft cotton now days.
