(Carter News) - Hello everyone. Are you enjoying this beautiful weather?

I'm waiting for the trees to change color as it is so nice to take a ride and look at the changes. To me that’s the best time of the year and so pretty too.

The annual flag day parade was a big hit again this year. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. As a matter of fact Paula (Baumgart) who was a beautiful bride and Jimmy (Kern) who was our groom enjoyed themselves so much we heard they were expecting their own little bundle of joy. They plan to name their little one “What Boat!” The four walking beer bottles also had fun but felt a little bit taken advantage of for they were drank up by the bridesmen! We are hoping the bride and groom will renew their vows next year because all their guests could not attend the wedding. Larry for one just couldn't leave his precious old Husquvana all alone at home so decided to stay home and babysit! That’s all I will say.

A big thanks to Ozzie Markeland and his family for topping off the night with their beautiful display of colored lights again this year. It sure lights up Carter. A big thanks to our nieces, nephews, friends and family who helped make our parade. Too numerous to mention all their names but want you to know it’s appreciated very much.

John Basten and Terri of Green Bay were at their place on Deer Lane for a few days. They’re always busy working whenever they’re up north.

The cribbage games are still doing very well. Guess who still is winning? We won't mention names! But we have a lot of fun anyway.

If you by chance get bored, come to Carter. Until next week have a happy and healthy one.

Convalescence is that difficult time when you're better than you were but still not as well as you were before you were as sick as you are now!
