(Cavour News)- Hi, I hope everyone enjoyed the last summer holiday. It sure was a hot one.

I saw a lot of sunburned faces on those that attended the Crandon Brush Run races.

We had a few visitors in Cavour.

Chris Smith and children Megan, Nick and his son, spent a few days at their trailer.

Mr. and Mrs. Willard Tipton spent a few days at their cabin.

Rachel Zaborowski from Milwaukee visited with the Ronald Brooks family over the weekend.

The Larry Allard family were up at their cabin.

Kayla Egan and daughter Kylee and friend Tyler visited with the Warren Egan family for a few days.

Kelly, Ken, Kayla, Rachel and Tyler attended the Brush Run Saturday and Sunday.

Jim Knitt and friend Verna stopped in to visit Mutz Greve on Saturday.

Visiting with the Warren Egan family at Lake Lafave on Sunday were Penny Wickstom from Florence and Pam and Raynard Smith from Pulaski.

Kyle Albrecht of Appleton visited with his grandparents Ronald and Alda Brooks on Sunday.

Summers End

Another summer has ended,

the long hot days have passed.

We sat around our campfires

telling stories that made us laugh.

Days were spent on beaches,

running barefoot in the sand.

The arms on all the children

have golden brown tans.

We went to all the weddings

and all the nice parades.

It's back to school for students

no more lazy days.

Now fall bring us

colorful trees,

football games and burning leaves.

I hate to see the summer end,

but welcome the new season

that soon begins.

 Tell us what you think...
