Shirley Shampo and I, along with our little great-granddaughter Kassidy Ashbeck, were in Crandon. If she doesn't want to go, just say dollar store and she's in the car. She sure loves to shop there.

Abby and Katie Ashbeck of Kaukauna and Adam Khammanivong of Appleton spent a week with Grampa Ron and Judy Noffke and attended Vacation Bible School at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wabeno. They also spent some time with gramma Shirley Ashbeck and great-gramma Clara Koskella. One day we took them to the new zoo in Lakewood and believe me it was well worth going to. The kids had a ball petting and feeding the animals and they have a lot of them there.

Dale and Lisa Miller of Port Washington were at their place on Deer Lane this past week. Dale roasted all kinds of veggies and mushrooms on skewers and shared them with all of us. They were very very good so Dale you can cook for us anyday, anytime.

John Basten and Terri of Green Bay were at their place on Deer Lane along with son JJ and also enjoyed the food. Thanks Dale and Lisa.

Abby Ashbeck of Kaukauna entered the watermelon eating contest which was held on Saturday at the fair grounds and won first place and the prize was a beautiful bicycle. Congratulations Abby, we're all very proud of you.

Marie Hafermann of Oshkosh was here for the weekend visiting with Gary Shampo and friends.

That’s it for this week. Have a happy and healthy one.

There are three signs of old age. The first one is loss of memory and I forgot the other two!
