A teen accused of murdering a Tomahawk gas station attendant wants a jury from outside Lincoln County to decide his fate.

If the court declines to either move the trial or get an outside jury, Domke wants a court trial wherein a judge would render the verdict.

Domke, 18, is scheduled to go on trial Oct. 20 in connection with the murder of Rochelle Anderson.

He is accused of attacking Anderson, 25, in the men’s room of the Zephyr fuel station in Tomahawk. A Tomahawk police officer found Anderson’s body lying facedown behind the station on March 22, the Saturday before Easter.

Domke was charged with first degree intentional homicide and armed robbery after a fingerprint expert said bloody prints found inside the bathroom belonged to the high school student.

A forensic pathologist has testified Anderson was attacked with a sharp instrument and also suffered severe head and facial injuries. Dr. Michael Stier said Anderson was stabbed three times in the back as she lay dying from severe trauma to her head and face.

In addition to Anderson’s murder, Domke is accused of stealing a computer tower, four packages of cigarettes and several hundred dollars from the store.

Besides the change of venue motion, Domke’s attorney has also filed several motions seeking to suppress Domke’s statements to police as well as evidence recovered after a search warrant was executed.

Motion hearings in this case have been set for Aug. 26 and Sept. 25. Jury selection is scheduled to begin Oct. 14 with opening statements expected on Oct. 20.

Domke is being held in the Lincoln County jail on $1 million cash bond.
