The Holiday Inn Express on Hwy. 8 has been purchased by Sunil and Parul Patel of Riverton, Wyoming. The hotel’s new ownership has terminated its franchise agreement with Holiday Inn and will re-organize as a Quality Inn.

The Patels have lived in Riverton for 15 years, owning and operating a Wyndham Hotel there. Prior to moving to Wyoming, they spent time in California.

“We were looking for a new property and when we first drove through Wisconsin we very much liked the state. Everything worked out with this hotel. We were looking for a small town with tourism and commerce both,” said Parul Patel.

The Patels’ two children, Nirali and Kavish, will be joining their parents and will attend Rhinelander schools in the fall. The new owners took possession of the hotel on Friday of last week and they have been busy making a place in their new home. The staff at the hotel will not change as a result of the change in ownership.

“We’re keeping the same staff. We have a very good staff here and I’m glad they have come to us as part of the deal,” said Parul Patel.

Parul Patel said she and her husband have been greeted warmly in Rhinelander and they look forward to building a successful business here.

“For me it’s the right location. The town has commercial and tourism both and that is what I always look for. We offer everything for weddings and parties and the hotel has everything that the guests will need,” said Patel.

The new owners also indicated the hotel may add a bar in the near future if everything works out.

" I always had my out of town visitors stay at the Holiday Inn due to the quality linens, mattresses, and towels, and the clean atmosphere. Please keep the nice quality amenities! Welcome to Rhinelander to you and your family. "

" It is nice to read the report regarding new owners of the Holiday Inn who happen to be my best friend. While I extend my best wishes for success and prosperity in their new endeavor, I have a small suggestion to make. Consider opening a Yoga and Meditation centre. This will give great relief to the visitors from mental stress of modern life and help to integrate oriental (Indian)culture with occidental (western) culture.
With best wishes
