The Lakeland Art League, Inc. and the Lakeland Area Kiwanis Club have announced that they will again join efforts to present Art Fair 2008. This year’s event will be held July 12 at Fireman’s Park in Arbor Vitae from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This Art Fair has been a community event for 32 years and the members of both groups are pleased to be working together again.

The Art Fair has been open to artists whose work is original in concept and design, plus the artist exhibiting must complete all work. Past exhibitors have included local artists as well as artists from as far away as Florida and all surrounding Midwestern States. New exhibitors are welcome.

The artwork includes fine original crafts and is very diverse, including paintings, drawings, stained glass, sculpture, jewelry, decorative painting, carving, basketry, textiles, wood working, pottery and much more.

Past exhibitors were mailed entry forms in January, and space is available for 90 artisans to exhibit their art. The music of Ron Harrison will round out the event.

To request an entry application, call Dennis Neuendorf at (715) 358-3101. Call Laura at (715) 892-1204 with any questions. Deadline for entries is June 1.
