Tina Inger - Crandon Public Library Head Librarian

(Crandon Library News) - A fundraiser is a gift that lasts a lifetime. Books are the doors to real and imaginary places, that can captivate us for hours, and books can take kids on incredible journeys too. Here is your opportunity to make a lasting gift or memorial to a lost, loved-one. You can support the library for years to come. Your decision to sponsor a book for Crandon Public Library is a useful and very affordable donation. It will be appreciated for its thoughtfulness by library patrons of all ages. What is the cost of your generosity?

A book sponsorship will cost you only $10 and for every book you sponsor, a bookplate will be included with a book of your choice or better yet we could chose one for you. The only thing that we ask of your generosity is that you chose a junior fiction or young adult book. This is the part of our collection that, as we librarians call it, was “weeded” out. They were either too old or beyond repair. We feel that access to books is essential to reading development and studies have shown that having access to a wide variety of reading materials is essential if a child is going to develop into a strong reader. With your help we feel that we will be able to meet this goal. You have been very generous to the library in the past and we look forward to serving you now and in the future.

Feel free to stop in the library to fill out a form or you could call us at 478-3784 and we will gladly take care of you. We look forward to seeing you at the library. “It is books that are key to the whole wide world, if can't do anything else, read all you can.” Anonymous Author
