Snowshoes, skis, canoes, paddles, kayaks, tennis rackets, lifejackets, helmets, baseball gloves, bats, basketballs, footballs, fishing equipment, tips, water skiing paraphernalia, what’s in your basement or garage.

It is nearly spring and the YMCA of the Northwoods is hosting the 2nd Annual Sport Swap on Saturday, April 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organizer Shannon Eckley said, “People can drop off their ‘kindly used’ or new items at the YMCA on Friday, April 18 between 3 and 7 p.m.”

Anyone wishing to sell items are asked to price them before dropping them off. 20 percent of every item sold will go towards the purchase of a “bounce house” that will be used during community events and parties at the Y. No exercise equipment such as Nordic Track will be accepted.

Items that do not sell can be picked up between 2 and 4 p.m. after the sale. Money from items purchased can also be picked up at this time. Any items left will be given to needy families or donated to charity.

There will also be a brat and bake sale during the swap. Local vendors Usborne Books, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Simply Fun Games and the Hodag Facilities Foundation will be on hand as well. Mel’s Trading Post is helping with the event. For more information call Shannon Eckley at 362-1571.
