Your School : Crandon School Board attend WASB Conference

Andrew McMillion, Ann Mihalko, Andrew Okrasinski and Larry Statezny attended the State WASB Convention in Milwaukee on January 22 through 25. Dr. Richard Peters also participated in convention meetings. Board members attended presentations and interacted with other board members and educational professionals from across the state.

Among the presentations attended by Crandon Board members were: "Financial Literacy for Graduation", "Facilities Management and the Facility Manager Program", "Conducting a District Self-Assessment", "Facebook, MySpace, Internet Plagiarism: Keeping Internet Use Policies Current", "Guaranteed Achievement Takes Everyone: A Middle School Alternative Program", "SAA Legislative Update", "High Poverty, High Achievement: Effective Practices for Results", "Threat Assessment and School Safety Preparedness", "Planning for the Future: Factoring in Declining Enrollment", "Passing a Referendum", "Using Data to Stop Bullying" and "Legislative Advocacy".

Board members will discuss some of the ideas gotten from the convention at the February 11 School Board Meeting.
