Ronald G. Medenwaldt

Ronald G. Medenwaldt, age 64, of Sunnyvale, California, passed away January 18, 2008. He was born April 2, 1943 in Laona to George V. and Lorna Mary (Stauber) Medenwaldt.

Ronald graduated in 1961 from Holy Name High School in Escanaba, Michigan. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Ronald graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering with a BSME in 1972. He was a Professional Estimator for Rudolph and Sletten in Redwood City, California for 22 years. Ronald will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by three brothers, Tom Medenwaldt of Grayslake, Ill., Mark Medenwaldt of Oak Creek and David Medenwaldt of Mobile, Ala.; and sister-in-law, Nora Medenwaldt of New Richmond, BC, Canada.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Service will be held on February 2, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 468 Grand Ave., Redwood City, CA 94062. In lieu of flowers, donate to the American Heart Association.

Russell Plummer

Russell Plummer, age 78, of Crandon, passed away at the AGI Health Care Center of Crandon on Thursday, January 31, 2008. Russ was born in Crandon on November 27, 1929 the son of the late Harden and Mary (Taylor) Plummer.

Russ served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.

On April 12, 1991 Russ married his life-long love, Kay Kincaid. She preceded him in death on February 12, 1999.

Russ worked for 35 years as machinist. After his retirement in 1991, he returned to Crandon. Russ was an accomplished bowler, he also enjoyed golfing, hunting but especially enjoyed his Canadian fishing trips with his life long friends.

He is survived by sons, Steve Plummer (Sara Helf) of Crandon and Tom (Leandra) Plummer of Kenosha; sister, Harriet Voekel of Milwaukee; brother, Art (Audrey) Plummer of Crandon; and step-grandson, Phillip.

In addition to his wife, Kay, he is also preceded by his parents, Harden and Mary; brothers, Sam, Eugene, Raymond and Dete; and sisters, Ruby and Suzy.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 4, 2008 from noon until 2:30 p.m. at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home in Crandon. Funeral services followed at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Michael Herdt officiating. Interment was at Crandon Lakeside Cemetery.

Eugene “Gene” C. Farrell

Eugene "Gene" C. Farrell, age 75, of Pearson, passed away at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau on January 29, 2008. Gene was born on April 4, 1932 in Kaukauna, son of the late Clayton and Florence (Hawley) Farrell. He was a graduate of Kaukauna High School. He was employed at various paper mills in the Fox Valley as an electrician and retired in Pearson 16 years ago.

Gene is survived by two daughters, Susan (Jeff) Tesch of Ogdensburg and Kim (Rick) Senecal of Darboy; four sons, Tom (Colleen) Farrell of Greenville, Joe Farrell of Pearson, Jon Farrell of Little Chute and Jim (Donna) Farrell of Appleton; a brother, Jack (Gwen) Farrell of De Pere; a sister-in-law, Mae Farrell of Whitewater, fourteen grandchildren, three of which stopped by and checked on Grandpa often, Curt, Brian and Eric Burow; eight great-grandchildren and also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Karl and Richard.

Private family service will be held for Gene.

The family would like to thank the Hospice staff at Aspirus for all the care and concern given to Gene.
