Laona High School sent 10 students to Milwaukee on December 15 and 16 to participate in an all state field trip in the arts. Chaperone Mrs. Carol Bartlein, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hansen and the students joined nearly 250 other Wisconsin high school students as they attended more than four different art events representing different art forms: visual arts, dance, music and theater.

The students and their chaperones visited the nationally recognized Milwaukee Art Museum to satisfy their quest for the visual arts. The art forms of music and theater were well represented in the Milwaukee Repertory Theater's A Christmas Carol and Irving Berlin's White Christmas at the Skylight Opera Theater. The Nutcracker Ballet rounded off this art filled trip with an experience in dance.
