Aloysius Joseph Wolczewski

Aloysius Joseph Wolczewski of Greenfield, WI, born January 18, 1927, was born to eternal life October 3, 2007 at the age of 80.

Aloysius was the beloved husband of the late Gertrude and dear father of Lori (Micheal) Faledas of Greenfield/Crandon, Melody (Dale) Schrank of New Berlin, Anna (Peter) Ruskiewicz of Mukwonago, Donna (Robert) Pavlac of Neilsville and Dave (Shari) Wolczewski.

He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Allan.

He is survived by 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Aloysius was a hard worker that was still employed as a welder and maintenance mechanic right up to his passing. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Second Airborne. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 9 at Bruskiewitz Forest Lane Chapel in Milwaukee with interment at St. Adalberts Cemetery in Milwaukee.

Robert “Bob” M. Kratky

Robert “Bob” M. Kratky, age 74, of Crandon, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 7, 2007. He was born June 6, 1933 in Milwaukee the son of the late Mathew and Helen (Staska) Kratky.

While living in Milwaukee, Bob worked as a salesman for Mercury Records for about 10 years. He moved to Crandon in 1968. After moving to Crandon, Bob worked for the Job Corps for 26 years. When not working, he enjoyed woodworking and any type of home renovation project.

Bob is survived by companion of 19 years, Dorothy Wilke of Crandon; five children, Pam Rodriguez of Crandon, Jennifer Kratky of DePere, Laura (Glenn) Peroutka of Coal Valley, Ill., Matt (Cindy) Kratky of DePere and Al (Lori) Kratky of Green Bay; eleven grandchildren, Crystal, Jody, Jerome, Amanda, Stella, Chelsea, Val, Nick, Brennan, Ryan and Zach; and Dorothy's children, daughter Kathy (Mike) Krawze and their children Mackenzie, Morgan, Malerie and Madelyn, and son, Joe Wilke.

A gathering of friends was on Friday, October 12, 2007 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Leonard Catholic Church in Laona. A memorial mass followed at 11 a.m. with Father John Cerkas officiating. A luncheon followed. Weber-Hill Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.

Devota L. Kramar

Devota L. Kramar, of Antigo, died Saturday, October 13, 2007, at the home of her daughter Pat (Ron) Cracraft in Argonne. She was 82 years old.

She was born in Hogarty, WI to the late Louis and Lucy (Hunt) Harrington.

On October 5, 1943 she married to Billy V. Campbell who preceded her in death. She married Duaine Kramar on February 20, 1974 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Antigo. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2001.

She was a member of St. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church Adult Choir in Antigo. Raised in Hogarty, she graduated from Antigo Senior High School. During W.W.II she was employed in Washington, DC by the FBI and later worked at the Hotel Commodore in Chicago as a secretary. Returning to Antigo, she worked at Langlade Memorial Hospital in the purchasing department for numerous years. She also worked at Furniture World in Antigo.

In her retirement, she volunteered as a driver for dialysis and cancer patients, shopping for the homebound, distributing Holy Communion and assisting those in need.

Surviving are five daughters, Linda Taylor of Oroville, Calif., Beverly (Tom) Kloes of Hatley, Terry (Marc) Johnson of Antigo, Karen (Kurt) Meverden of Weston, Patricia (Ronald) Cracraft of Argonne; son, Gregory Campbell of White Lake; sister, Phyllis (James) Suick of Antigo; brother, Brother Killian Harrington, S.D.S of Sauk Center, Minn.; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Thelma Mersbon of Atlanta, Ga.; two step-sons, Matt (Kathy) Kramar of St. Paul, Minn. and Mark Kramar of Washington, D.C.; daughter-in-law, Nancy Olson-Kramar of Sandstone, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a grandson, a great-grandson, a sister Sr. Mary Patrick Harrington and her step-father Tony Augustyn.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2007 at St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo, with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating.

Visitation will be held from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Bradley Funeral Home, Hwy. 45, Antigo.

A Parish Wake service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Bradley Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo.

Ivan P. Hudson

Ivan P. Hudson, age 79, of Newald, died October 9, 2007 at his home after a short battle with cancer. He was born May 8, 1928 the son of the late Jack and Annie (Updenkelder) Hudson.

Ivan enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also enjoyed working as a machinist for the past 30 years with his son, Mark. Ivan served his country in the United States Army from 1952-1954.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa T. Hudson; children, Pam (Lon) Woltersdorf and Mark (Anna) Hudson; grandchildren, Ashley (Isaac) McBeth, Kyle (Laura) Woltersdorf and Stephanie (fiancé, Chad Belland) Hudson; sisters, Helen (Irvin) Burdeau, Dorothy (Leo) Truax, Delores (Joe) Burdeau, Betty Lou (Tom) Perz and Shelby (Donnie) Brusky; brothers, George (Jean) Hudson, Gary (Betty) Hudson, Gordon (Sue) Hudson, Oscar (Jennett) Hudson, Russell (Carol) Hudson and Ugene (Carol) Hudson.

A private service was held at the Forest Home Cemetery in Newald for immediate family members at the request of Ivan.

The family wants to send a special thanks to Ministry Home Hospice, the doctors and nurses at the VA Hospital of Iron Mountain, The Laona Rescue Squad, and a special thanks to Sue from Ministry Home Hospice of Rhinelander.

Paula Mae Bauer

Paula Mae Bauer, age 43, of Seymour, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with ALS, surrounded by family and friends. She was born February 19, 1964 in Racine to the late Kenneth and Sharon (Hupf) Bauer.

Paula loved to go fishing and camping. She got to have her dream job, which was a truck driver and drove for Schneider Trucking.

She is survived by special friend, Mary Kay Naparalla (Dollface) and her son Buddy; brothers and sisters, Raymond (Cheryl) Bauer, Lori Bauer, Mike (Kelly) Bauer, Jerry (Ginny) Bauer, Jack (Val) Bauer, Kurt and Brooke Bauer; aunts and uncles, Carole (Jim) Sheldon, Weenie (Vernon) Sheldon, Jerry Hupf, DeeDee (David) Hodgeson, Carolyn (Tom) Alexander and Russ Oelke; and Partners' family, parents, Art (Mary Jane) Naparalla; brothers and sisters, Art (Mary Jane) Naparalla, Connie Naparalla, Rick (Lynn) Naparalla, Sue (Kevin) Masty, Rod (Kay) Naparalla, Denise (Craig) Tetzlaff and Michelle Naparalla.

She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Sharon Bauer; maternal grandparents, Charlie and Marie Hupf; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Genevieve Bauer; Aunt Helen Kniess, Uncle Ray Kniess and Aunt Judy Oelke.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 19 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Newald. Funeral Mass will follow at 1 p.m. with Father John Cerkas officiating. Alice Szymanski

Alice Szymanski, 90, of Marquette, Mich., died Thursday afternoon, October 11, 2007 under the loving care of the Eastwood Nursing Center staff in Negaunee, Mich.

Alice was born on November 23, 1916 in Bismarck, North Dakota to the late Frank and Ella (Adams) Huncosky, Sr. She was married to Edward Szymanski, Sr. and together they raised their children and spent most of their life in Green Bay. After retiring, they made their home on Lake Metonga in Crandon. Alice also lived many years in Gwinn, Mich. before moving to Marquette. Some of her fondest memories were of playing league cribbage with her friends in Gwinn. She was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Cubs fan.

Alice is survived by three children, Edward (Nancy) Szymanski, Jr. of Rhinelander, James (Penny) Szymanski of Green Bay and Juli (Dan) Dupras of Marquette; eight grandchildren, Renee (Ted) Ison of Crandon, Michelle Vollmar of Green Bay, James (Tammie) Szymanski of Rhinelander, Terry (Mike) Delforge of Elsworth AFB, SD, Tara (Jesse) Bird, Offut AFB, NE, Erik VanLangendon of Marquette, Kristi (Troy) Noble of Traverse City and Tricia Larson of Marquette; 13 great-grandchildren, Hollie (Jeff) Ackley, Megan (Franz) Gerber, Lindsey (Jason) Bertrand, Josh Vollmar, Doug Vollmar, Jessica Szymanski, Shane Streicher, Isabella, Gabriella and Olivia Delforge, Eva Bird, Taylor Noble and Tristin Larson; one great-great-granddaughter, Madison Ackley; two brothers, Frank Huncosky, Jr. of Coleman and Hilton "Bud" Huncosky of Suring; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Szymanski, Sr. in 1977; a grandson, Jesse VanLangendon; one brother, Edward Huncosky; and sisters, Frances Rabas, Florella Leisch and Evelyn Rebenitch.

A Mass of Christian Burial was be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, on the corner of 9th Street and 12th Avenue in Green Bay on Tuesday, October 16 at noon with the Rev. Anthony Dolski officiating. Burial took place at Fort Howard Cemetery in Green Bay. Friends called at the church on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the mass.

Katrina Lee “Tink” McCorkle

Katrina Lee “Tink” McCorkle, age 17, of Argonne, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 7, 2007. Katrina was born in Rhinelander on October 18, 1989 the daughter of Kevin McCorkle and Michelle Tillman.

Katrina was currently a senior at Crandon High School. After graduation, she had plans of pursing a career in early childhood development. Because of Katrina's love of children, she proudly tutored the children in the pre 4K school program. She loved animals, especially the strays and she loved to shop. Katrina will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Michelle “Mickie” Tillman of Argonne; her father who she truly adored, Kevin (Dawn) McCorkle of Rhinelander; sister, Trisha Renkas of Crandon; step-brothers, Patrick and Jacob; aunts, Kim (Allen) Keepers of Argonne and Heather (Ron) Cole of Mosinee; uncles, Rob (Stacey) McCorkle of Argonne, David McCorkle of Crandon, Todd McCorkle of Rhinelander and Christopher (Amy) McCorkle of Crandon; cousins, Tony, Jon, Drew, Alexis, Alana, Christopher, Dylan, Cassidy, Riley and Bradey; great-cousin, Jaxon Keepers; grandparents, Phil and Jeanette McCorkle of Argonne and Ken and Sandy Tillman of Argonne; great-grandmothers, Audrey Ahlers of Antigo, Genevieve Tillman of Wausau and Mildred Harris of Argonne.

Visitation was held on Monday, October 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home in Crandon. Funeral mass was held on Tuesday, October 16 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Crandon with Father Ralph Gillis officiating. Interment was at Crandon Lakeside Cemetery.

Jordanne Michele Murray

Jordanne Michele Murray, age 18, of Crandon, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 7, 2007. She was born in Rhinelander on July 25, 1989 the daughter of Paul E. Murray and Jennifer A. Adamec.

Jordanne graduated from Crandon High School in 2007 and was currently a student at Nicolet College in the Early Childhood Development Program. She was currently working at Palubicki's Eats n Treats and the Liquor Lode in Crandon.

Jordanne loved playing horseshoes, volleyball and softball. She also enjoyed the outdoors, movies, bowling, eating Chinese food and hanging out with her friends. Jordanne's greatest love was for her family; especially her sister, Jalyn.

She is survived by her parents, Jennifer (Tony) Blank and Paul Murray (significant other, Sue Bradley); sister, Jalyn Blank; brother, Trae Blank; grandparents, Tim (Bev) Blank, Earl “Red” (Elsie) Murray, Barb Adamec and Judy Erno (Aaron Huhata); great-grandparents, Eleanor Smith, Robert Blank and Sue Laabs; and Godparents, Larry (Sue) Palubicki. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by sister, Tara Blank; grandfather, Gerald Adamec; and great-grandpa, Raymond Smith.

Tyler James Peterson

Tyler James Peterson, age 20, of Crandon, passed away unexpectedly October 7, 2007. Tyler was born at Wausau, Wisconsin on March 6, 1987, the son of Steven and Laurel (Tupper) Peterson.

Tyler was a member of the graduating class of 2005. He attended Nicolet College earning a degree in criminal justice. He enjoyed the Wisconsin outdoors including hunting, fishing, trapping, skiing and snowmobiling. Tyler loved his family, friends, and his dogs, especially his dog Jake. Tyler loved being in law enforcement.

He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by parents, Steve and Laurel Peterson of Crandon; brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Courtney Peterson of Stevens Point; and grandparents, Mona and Lorne Vokes of Crandon and Alice Peterson of Wabeno.

He is further survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Tyler is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Philip “Pete” Peterson and Francis “Frank” Tupper.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 18 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Praise Chapel Community Church in Crandon. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bill Farr officiating. Interment will be at Crandon Lakeside Cemetery.

Bradley Steven Schultz

Bradley Steven Schultz, age 20, of Crandon, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday October 7, 2007. Bradley was born in Rhinelander on January 30, 1987 the son of Dianne (Bocek) Schultz and Steven Schultz.

Bradley lived in Crandon and was a 2005 graduate of Crandon High School. He then attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.

Bradley loved off-road racing and was home this past weekend to confirm plans for a November off-road race trip to Las Vegas with friends Aaron “Chunk” Smith, Charlie Neitzel and Dustin Pence.

Bradley also loved hunting of all kinds, ice fishing, baseball, football and hanging out with his friends and taking care of his cat “Tiger.”

Bradley is survived by parents, Dianne (Bocek) Schultz and Steven (Jenny) Schultz and Brittney and Riley; brothers, Cody and Schyler Schultz; grandmother, Violet Schultz of Crandon; several aunts and uncles including his godparents, Paul (Rose) Gerow (godfather and godmother) and Marge (Alois) Bocek. He is also survived by Mary (Chuck) Simono and many other relatives and friends.

A special recognition for Aunt Rose Gerow and Uncle Paul Gerow.

Honoring Bradley as pallbearers are Vernon Marvin, Ben, Danny and Josh Bocek, Jake Flannery, Keith Chaney, Matt Samz, Dustin Pence and Justin Turner.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Stephen and Eleanor Bocek; paternal grandfather Clyde Schultz; and cousin Alois (Richie) Bocek.

The visitation was on Friday, October 12 at the Praise Chapel in Crandon from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.and then from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Bill Farr officiating. Lianna Faye Thomas

Lianna Faye Thomas, age 17, of Crandon, died unexpectedly October 7, 2007. Lianna was the beloved daughter of Gary and Linda (Wilson) Thomas. Lianna, an identical twin, was born in Rhinelander on April 12, 1990 .

Both wanted to be known for being their own person. When Lianna entered a room she had a smile on her face and a gleam in her eye. When she was younger, she loved to style other peoples hair. She loved animals especially horses and dogs. Lianna liked to hang out with her friends which included her twin sister, Lindsey and her cousins. Lianna loved music and she went to state for singing and tenor sax she also enjoyed playing alto sax, soprano sax, piano and the flute. Lianna had plans of attending college and majoring in music after graduating from high school in May 2008.

Lianna left behind her loving family, parents Gary and Linda; twin sister, Lindsey; brother, Gary; grandparents, Patsy Wilson and Roy and Pat Thomas; aunts and uncles, Ron (Vickie) Thomas, Jamie, Lisa, Christy and David, Judy (Bill) Mullins, Wanda, Sarah and Billy, Coleman Wilson (friend, Jill), Charmaine (Dick) Bender, Krystle and Jenna, Jay (Mary) Wilson, Dusty and Serena, Bill (Laura) Wilson, Gregg and Sarrah, David Wilson, Carl (Pat) Wilson, Kayla and Andrew, Roy (Tina) Wilson, Kendall, Kegan and Eian and Ken (Becky) Wilson, Roger, Charlie, Breanna and Jack.

She is preceded in death by her grandpa, Albert Wilson.

Jesse Smith, Josiah Jensen and Mitchell Engel. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Heaney and Randy Marvin.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Praise Chapel Community Church in Crandon. Funeral services were on Wednesday, October 17 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bill Farr officiating. Lianna was laid to rest at the Town of Crandon Cemetery. Weber-Hill Funeral Home in Crandon assisted the family with arrangements.

Dolores Maureen Gauthier

Dolores Maureen Gauthier died September 10, 2007, after suffering from staph infection following heart surgery a few days earlier.

Dolores was born July 19, 1926 in Goodman, WI to Ann and Adoph Hack. She was the youngest of six siblings, three of whom still survive, Lenore (Bob) Carter of Newcastle, Wyo., Wilbur (Flora) Hack of Appleton and June Heyden of Green Valley, Ariz.

Dolores attended school in Goodman from kindergarten to twelfth grade, graduating in 1944. She then attended Metropolitan School of Business in Chicago. Upon graduation, she accepted a position with Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad (now Burlington Northern-Santa Fe) where she was employed until she married Ted Gauthier from Brimley, Mich. After their marriage, they lived in Louisville, Ky. where Ted was employed as an engineer.

Their oldest son, Barry, who is now the head of the mail department at UW-Oshkosh, was born. They later moved to Muskego, WI, where their next three children were born, Dolores Ann of Pennsylvania who is employed in the telecommunications/computer industry, Bob of Muskego, WI, an upper level manager employed by the State of Wisconsin in a juvenile rehabilitation facility and Tom of Oshkosh, WI, a chiropractor.

She is also survived by three step-children (Bill, Barbara and Gordon), nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In 2005, at the age of 79, Dolores retired from the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department where she had been employed for over twenty years.

Dolores' love and kindness will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Lindsey Lou Stahl

Lindsey Lou Stahl, age 14, of Crandon, joined her grandma, Linda Lou in heaven on October 7, 2007. Lindsey was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on November 5, 1992.

Lindsey was a very bubbly girl who you could catch giggling or smiling her contagious smile at any given moment. She cared about a magnitude of things ranging from animal rights, being vegetarian and environmental issues to talking on the phone and singing, dancing and taking pictures. She was a very smart girl who loved to express herself whether it be through the clothes she wore or the views she had. Lindsey also tutored third grade; she loved helping the younger kids.

She was also very proud of working at Palubicki's “Eats' n' Treats” and thought the world of the owners and the friends she worked with.

Lindsey was always and will always be known as an all-around good kid whose colorful personality shone bright.

Lindsey loved spending time with her family and friends. Lindsey loved spending time with her family and friends. Our “Doodle Bug” will continue to be loved and missed forever.

She is survived by her parents, Jenny Stahl and Wayne Coulter of Crandon; brother, Ryan Coulter of Crandon; grandparents, Don and Alice Stahl of Crandon; and great-grandma, Marie Drake of Laona.

She is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too many to name.

She is preceded in death by her grandma, Linda Stahl; grandma and grandpa Coulter; and great-grandpa, Carter Drake.

Visitation was held on Monday, October 15 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home in Crandon. Funeral services followed at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bill Farr officiating. Interment was at the Laona Cemetery.

Aaron Edward Smith

Aaron Edward Smith, born June 28, 1987, beloved son of Ed and Lee Smith, brother of Miranda, Alyssa and Avery, passed away tragically Sunday morning, October 7 at the age of 20.

He is preceded in death by grandparents Jack and Clara Kryka and survived by his grandparents Jim and Gail Smith.

Aaron was an avid outdoorsmen who loved hunting and fishing. His friends called him “Chunk” and “Schmitty.” He was employed by Baldwin racing, which became one of his passions.

He graduated in 2005 from Crandon High School with academic awards and varsity letter awards in football. After high school, he graduated from North Central Tech with a degree in welding.

He leaves behind many loved ones, as he was adored by all who knew him. He is loved and will be truly missed. Rest in peace Aaron - until we see you once again.

Visitation was held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Friday with services following at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crandon. Weber-Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Kathleen (Kay) Marie White

Kathleen (Kay) Marie White, of Crandon, WI, passed on October 15, 2007 at home losing her courageous battle with cancer.

Her parents, Mary A Kaufman (Herron) and Hartford J Kaufman of Michigan, preceded her in death as did her husband, Richard L White, who passed on February 2, 1994. Also, her former son-in-law, Gary Massey, passed on August 9, 2001.

She is survived by three daughters, Janice M. Childers (Mike) of Crandon, Linda S. Noreika (fiancé, Wade Forncrook) of Suamico and Sally A. White of Appleton; and one son, Rick K. White (Brenda) of La Crosse. Her grandchildren are Jason Childers (Jill), Jeremy Childers (Sara), Stacy Karcz (Andrew), Amie and Daniel Noreika, Sara K. Lawson, and Sadie L. White. Great-grandchildren include Austin, Michael and Katelynn Childers, and Taylor Karcz. Kay is also survived by her special friend, Willi Mayer of Elcho.

Kay was born on September 24, 1941 in Pontiac, Michigan. She grew up in Eaton Rapids, Michigan and attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Mich. She also attended college classes at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich., Nicolet College in Rhinelander and the University of Wisconsin Superior. She majored in Education and reached Junior status. She and her husband moved to Crandon in 1969 and her husband taught in the Crandon School District for 23 years. Kay has worked for the Ken Winkelman Insurance Company, the Crandon Police Department and the Forest County Sheriff's Department and retired from the latter in 2005. She served on the City of Crandon Election Board and attended St. Luke's Methodist Church in Crandon.

Kay enjoyed being a mother and a grandmother. She also thoroughly enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and often bragged about her own children and their accomplishments. Kay was proud to be an American and never failed to support her favorite football team - the Green Bay Packers.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 19 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home in Crandon and again on Saturday, October 20 from 10 until 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mike Herdt officiating. Inurnment will be in the Crandon Lakeside Cemetery. Weber-Hill Funeral Home in Crandon is assisting the family with the arrangements.
