Local students attend Marian College

Classes at Marian College started Tuesday, August 28 and among the freshman class this year were recent Goodman-Armstrong graduate, Savannah Frydrych of Goodman and Laona graduate Holly Ambrosius of Laona.

Marian’s first-year students are participating in the college’s First Year Experience program, which is designed to guide students in their transition to college and educational achievement.

Marian College is a premier Catholic applied liberal arts college located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The college offers more than 40 undergraduate and graduate programs at its main campus, and a variety of adult accelerated-degree programs in facilities throughout Wisconsin.

Reeling in the big fish in Eagle River
Last weekend the Eagle River Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center cooperated with the Musky Clubs Alliance of Wisconsin Inc. to host the 22nd Annual National Championship Musky Open. This year 1,109 musky anglers participated in the event to make it the largest musky tournament held anywhere in the world.
