Health Dept. offers extended hours for back to school shots
It's back to school time, and that means it is time to check if your child's immunizations are up to date.
The Wisconsin Student Immunization Law requires that students entering pre-kindergarten through high school meet requirements for DTaP, Polio, Measles, Mumps Rubella, Hepatitis B and Chickenpox.
Other vaccines are strongly recommended but are not required for school attendance.
The Oneida County Health Department will be providing immunizations by appointment on August 27-30, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There is no fee for these vaccines.
Parents are advised to check their child's immunization record and contact their health care provider to see if vaccines are needed or call the Oneida County Health Department at 369-6111 if you have immunization questions or to schedule an appointment.
