Forest County Health Department - Free Childhood Immunization Clinics are Wednesday, August 22 at the County Health Department in Crandon from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and Monday, August 27 at Laona Town Hall from 3:30 to 4 p.m. (Please call for an appointment at any site at 478-3371.) Free Blood Pressure Clinic is from 11 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28 Armstrong Creek Community Building.

Crandon High School Class of 1953 Reunion will be at Water's Edge on Lake Lucerne, Cty W., on Saturday, September 8. Cocktails will be served at 5 p.m. with dinner to follow.

Viet Nam Traveling Wall Arbor Vitae Opening Ceremonies are Thursday, August 23 at noon. Closing Ceremonies are Sunday, August 26 at 3 p.m. at the Fireman's Park in Arbor Vitae. The wall will be open for viewing round the clock with guards present.

2nd Annual Mole Lake Heritage Days 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Mole Lake is Friday through Sunday, August 24 to 26 in Mole Lake.

Town of Alvin 10th Annual Fire & Rescue Labor Day Picnic is Saturday, September 1 starting at 1 p.m. in Buchanan Park.

Lakewood Designs in Townsend is hosting a book signing by Kathleen Marie Marsh. She is local author of new book “The Truth About Townsend; Volume I: 1860-1940 - Transforming the Northwoods.” She will be there Saturday, August 25 from noon to 4 p.m. to sign your book.

Crandon Womens' Club will be selling brats at the Wagon at Schaefer's on Wednesday and Thursday, August 22 and 23. All proceeds go to the Scholarship fund.

Camp 5's last day of regular season is August 25.

Footstock Barefoot Water Ski Tournament is at Peshtigo Lake in Crandon on Saturday and Sunday, August 25 and 26.

Forest County Humane Society Rummage Sale is Thursday through Saturday, August 30 to September 1 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pole Shed at the Shelter.

World Championship Off-Road Weekend Parade is on Friday, August 31. It starts off the Off-Road Championship weekend. Closing is Sunday, September 2 with the crowning of BorgWarner Champion.

Little Lambs Preschool opens on September 4, providing a positive educational experience for children ages 2 -1/2 to six years of age. Call 478-5377 or 478-2245 for more information.

Forest County Fair is Thursday through Sunday, September 6 to 9 at the Fairgrounds in Crandon.

Art in the Square is in the Courthouse Square in Crandon on Saturday, September 15.

Music in the Park is being held in the Court House Square every Monday through August starting at 6:30 p.m. If rain will be in VFW Hall.

Narcotics Anonymous Meeting is every Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. at Indian Springs Lodge in Carter. Call Kari at 715-850-1862.

Flea Market is every Friday in downtown Wabeno.

Crandon Water Ski Shows are Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at Water's Edge Lodge on Lake Lucerne.
