Forest County Health Department - WIC Draft Pick Up is Monday, August 6 at Wabeno Presbyterian Church from 12 to 1:30 p.m. and from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Laona Senior Citizens Building. Wednesday, August 8 is the alternate date for pickup at the County Health Department at the Courthouse in Crandon from 8:30 to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Free Childhood Immunization Clinics are Tuesday, August 21 at Wabeno Town Hall from 3:30 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, August 22 at the County Health Department in Crandon from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and Monday, August 27 at Laona Town Hall from 3:30 to 4 p.m. (Please call for an appointment at any site at 478-3371.) Free Blood Pressure Clinic is Tuesday, August 28 in the Armstrong Creek Community Building from 11 to 11:30 a.m.

Crandon Public Library Summer Reading Program presents ‘Digging into Dinosaurs' by Northwoods Wildlife Center on Wednesday, August 1 at 1 p.m. Bring a child to discover this fascinating event.

Wabeno Area Chamber Fun Night and Street Dance is Friday, August 3 starting at 5 p.m.

Third Annual Northwoods Veterans Picnic is Saturday, August 4 starting at noon at Courthouse Square Veterans Memorial. Free food, beverages and entertainment. The public is invited.

Music in the Park is being held in the Court House Square every Monday through August starting at 6:30 p.m. If rain will be in VFW Hall.

Veterans Appreciation/Benefit Party is Sunday, August 5 starting at 4 p.m. at Junior's Saloon in Mole Lake. All veterans and active duty personnel invited. All proceeds go to Northwoods Veterans Center.

St. Mary's of the Lake Annual Parish Picnic is on Cty Rd F in Lakewood on Sunday, August 19. Outdoor Polka Mass at 10 a.m. with picnic following.

Crandon Cross Country Parents Meeting is Monday, August 6 at 6 p.m. in the Crandon School Auditorium. Practice begins Monday, August 13.

Crandon Water Ski Shows are Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at Water's Edge Lodge on Lake Lucerne.
