Blood Pressure Clinic is Monday, July 30 at Newald Town Hall from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Childhood Free Immunization Clinic is Wednesday, July 25 at the County Health Department at the Courthouse in Crandon from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Crandon Public Library Summer Reading Program presents Doug the Juggler on Wednesday, July 25 at 1 p.m. Bring a child to discover this fascinating event.

Argonne United Methodist Church VBS is July 29 through August 2. They will be visiting “Good News Farm” from 6 to 8 p.m.

Crandon Community Blood Drive is at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Thursday, July 26 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Polish Heritage Days will take place in Armstrong Creek on Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28.

Pickerel-Pearson Business Association Annual Summer Fisheree and Raffle is Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28.

Kentuck Day Festival is Saturday, July 28 in Crandon.

Lucas Oil Ultimate ATV Experience is at Crandon Raceway on Saturday and Sunday, July 28-29.

Nu-Roc Community Healthcare Annual Picnic is Tuesday, August 7 from 11:30 to 2.

Music in the Park is held in the Courthouse Square every Monday through August starting at 6:30 p.m. If rain, it will be in VFW Hall.

Veterans Appreciation/Benefit Party is Saturday, August 5 at 4 p.m. at Junior's Saloon in Mole Lake. All veterans and active duty personnel are invited. All proceeds go to Northwoods Veterans Center.

Narcotics Anonymous Meetings are held every Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Indian Springs Lodge in Carter. Call Kari at (715) 850-1862.

Northwoods Cow is in Eagle River at the Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Center on Railroad St.

Flea Market is held every Friday in downtown Wabeno.

Crandon Water Ski Shows are Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at Water's Edge Lodge on Lake Lucerne.

National Championship Musky Open
The National Championship Musky Open will be coming to the Vilas County Fairgrounds in Eagle River on Aug. 17-19. The open is a catch-and-release tournament that provides family fun for all ages and skill levels. Over 1,000 anglers participated in the event in 2006, and over 500 anglers have already pre-registered. The cost $50 if pre-registered by Aug. 1 and $55 if registered at the tourney.
