Lemerande - Van Lanen

Jessica Lynn Lemerande and Jacob Gerard Van Lanen exchanged wedding vows on May 5, 2007, at St. John Lutheran Church in DePere with Pastor Arnie Stilwell officiating. A dinner and reception followed at Stadium View in Green Bay.

The bride is the daughter of William and Cynthia Lemerande of Laona. The groom is the son of Jeffrey and Annette Martens and Jerry Van Lanen of DePere.

Wedding honor attendants were Matron of Honor Kelly Waeghe, sister of the groom, and Best Man Eric Dorn, friend of the groom.

Completing the wedding party were bridesmaids Breanna Lemerande (cousin of the bride), Megan Bradle, Allison Vende Hei, Katie Wilson, Amanda Massey and Nicole Bauldry (friends of the bride). Junior bridesmaid was Rhiannah Johnson (niece of the groom). Groomsmen were Charles Lemerande (brother of the groom), Casey Lemhouse, Dave Jenkel and Vince Tibaldo (friends of the groom). Junior groomsman was Andrew Martens (brother of the groom). Ring bearer was nephew of the groom, Cameron Van Lanen.

The couple resides in Green Bay.

Hegg - Nicholaus

Wedding AnnouncementJennifer Carol Hegg and Jacob Nicholaus Maruska were united in marriage on Saturday, December 30, 2006, at the Saint Paul Hotel in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The honorable Thomas Armstrong officiated. The intimate ceremony was attended by Jennifer and Jacob's immediate family members and grandparents only. Violinist Cheryl Zylla performed during the ceremony.

The formal reception was held at the Reiter Center in Three Lakes on June 9, 2007, with entertainment provided by Brett and Frisk.

The bride is the daughter of Conrad and Pamela Heeg of Three Lakes.

The groom is the son of Jane Sharkey of Minnetonka, Minnesota, and Lawrence and Kristi Maruska of Madison Lake, Minnesota.

The bride's sisters, twins Laura and Sara Heeg, shared maid of honor duties. The groom's father, Lawrence, served as best man. Flower girl was Madeline Maruska, youngest sister of the groom.

Jennifer was a 1996 graduate of Crandon High School and class co-valedictorian. The bride and groom are graduates of UW-Eau Claire; Jennifer was a Biology major, and Jacob received his B.A. in Psychology. Jennifer received her Master's degree in Government from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. last year. She is currently completing her doctoral degree in International Relations at Georgetown. Jacob is finishing his Master's in Counseling Psychology at Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland.

The couple currently reside in College Park, Maryland, but are planning to move to Doha, Qatar, in August, where Jennifer will be teaching at Georgetown's satellite campus for their School of Foreign Service.

Biking adventure offered at Trees for Tomorrow
From September 2-8, 2007, Trees For Tomorrow will be hosting Backroads Biking Adventure, an active Elderhostel program on campus in Eagle River, Wisconsin. Elderhostel students will enjoy a week of biking through the Northwoods on some of the less-traveled paved roads guided by a Trees For Tomorrow naturalist.
