The Echocardiography Labs at Marshfield Clinic in Minocqua and Park Falls were once again granted accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL).

Marshfield Clinic Echocardiography Labs were among the first one thousand echocardiography laboratories in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico to be recognized for commitment to high quality patient care and the provision of quality diagnostic testing.

“This is the third time our Echo Lab has attained accreditation status and, in fact, we were the first Echo Lab in the Marshfield Clinic system to do so,” said Rick Clark, administrator, Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center.

“Not only are we accredited in transthoracic echo, we also hold certificates in transesophageal and stress echo testing,” said Stella Kowalke, RDCS, technical director, Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center. “We have also completed the accreditation requirements for our mobile services at Flambeau Hospital and Howard Young Medical Center. Our lab has been accredited since May of 2001 and our current status is valid until 2010. We continue to improve our exams and technology to ensure the best care for our patients.”

For more information about echocardiography services, call Marshfield Clinic in Minocqua at 715-358-1800 or Park Falls at 762-7311.

Was it down because the Fourth was in mid-week or was it down because of the high price of gasoline? READ MORE >
