Limited edition collectible pint glassware featuring all the winners of previous Potawatomi Chairman's Cup Heavy Metal Challenge Races is an annual tradition at Crandon Raceway (www.crandonoffroad.com). On sale at the track and the Potawatomi Northern Lights Casino during the June 23-24 FCP Brush Run Races presented by Herculiner, the collectible pint glasses are limited to 1,400 pieces.

Featured on the glasses are the past 13 FCP Chairman's Cup champions. The glasses were produced in cooperation with Lucas Oil, Potawatomi Northern Lights Casino, BF Goodrich, Miller Lite and Skyjacker Suspensions. Skyjacker's Scott Taylor, 2002 winner of the Cup, was the first racer to officially enter the event.

“Fans of off-road racing, Crandon Raceway and the coveted Potawatomi 'Heavy Metal' Chairman's Cup race will surely want one, or a set, of these limited edition glasses," said Cliff Flannery, president, Crandon Raceway. "This is a very special promotion commemorating all past champions and one of the greatest and most exciting races in this country.”

Flannery noted the special glassware sold out in 48 hours at The Flames Sports Bar at the Casino last year. The Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run Races presented by Herculiner at Crandon June 23-24 feature the 14th annual Chairman's Cup race during a weekend of Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing action (www.wsorr.com).

The event is the longest running of its type in the Nation and pits high performance WSORR PRO 4x4, PRO 2WD and Super Trucks in an all-out fender to fender battle over Crandon's 1.5 mile track.

Fond memories of fisherman's holiday
Regular readers of this column know that traditions are important to me and many of our close friends. Last weekend our guide group enjoyed re-living a tradition that we have participated in for nearly thirty years. We took guests of the Jaeckle Company fishing. In addition to fishing some members of the group hit a small round ball around at the Northwoods course. READ MORE >
