Thank you notes to be sent to military members

In recognition of National Military Appreciation Month and the upcoming Memorial Day holiday, Parsons of Antigo is joining Buick, Pontiac and GMC dealerships across the country in an effort to help Americans say “thank you” to members of our military and their families.

During the month of May, organizers of the “A Million Thanks” program hope to collect one million individual “thank you” cards and notes that will be sent to active duty soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines in the coming weeks.

A collection box for individual messages will be available at Parsons of Antigo, located on Highway 45 North. A large card will also be displayed at the dealership for personal messages and signatures. After the notes have been collected, they will be delivered through the “A Million Thanks” organization, which was founded by this year's spokesperson for National Military Appreciation Month, California teenager, Shauna Fleming.

For those in Forest County and surrounding area who can't get into Antigo, there will also be a drop-off site at the Forest Republican in Crandon. All notes, cards and messages will taken once a week to Parsons of Antigo to go to our troops.

More information about the work of the “A Million Thanks” organizations is available at their Web site, amillionthanks.org. More information about Parsons of Antigo is available at www.parsonsofantigo.com.
