Senior Snoop Shop meeting will be held Thursday, May 10, 1 p.m., at the Crandon Public Library. All volunteers, consignees and interested persons are welcome to attend.

Northern Advantage Job Center Free Workshops will be held Thursday, May 10 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on youth job hunting skills.

U.S. Senator Russ Feingold's Regional Coordinator Karen Graff will be holding office hours Thursday, May 10, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the lower level of the Crandon Public Library. Area residents are invited to meet and discuss issues and concerns with Graff.

Crandon Book Club (Summer Schedule) will meet second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. with next meeting to be May 10 at 7 p.m. at the Crandon Library.

St. Ambrose Catholic Church Madonna Hall Annual Fish Fry will be held Friday, May 11 from 4-7 p.m. Tons of salads, desserts, beverages & FISH will be served. Cost is $7 adults, children 5-12 $3, 4 & under are free.

Wabeno Elementary's 17th Annual Grandparent's Day will be held Friday, May 11 at 9:30 a.m. Grandparents are invited to stay after and have lunch with their grandchild. Return form to child's teacher by Friday, May 4.

Forest County ATV Assoc. Spring Meeting & Ride will be Saturday, May 12, with meeting at 9 a.m. at the Newald Community Center, Hwy. 139, Newald, followed by a ride and lunch.

Town of Blackwell Clean Up Day will be held Saturday, May 12. Meet at the Town Hall. A picnic lunch will be served at noon.

Crandon Women's Club will meet Monday, May 14 at 5 p.m. at the Crandon Public Library. Betty Palubicki and Sally Maxum are hostesses.

Northern Lakes Conference High School Art Show, hosted by Crandon High School, will be held May 14-18. Open viewing is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Crandon Community Blood Drive will be held Wednesday, May 16, from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 501 N. Park Ave., Crandon. Walk-ins are welcome, but donation appointments can be made by calling 1-800-280-4102.

Wabeno High School Band Concert will be held Monday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. The Lions Senior Banquet is Wednesday, May 16.

Town of Crandon Property Owners Clean Up Day will be held Saturday, May 19, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Town Hall.

Forest County Health Department Childhood (Free) Immunization Clinics are Tuesday, May 15, Wabeno Town Hall from 3:30 to 4 p.m.; Monday, May 21, Laona Town Hall from 3:30 to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, May 23, County Health Department, Crandon Courthouse from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Call for an appointment for any site.

Annual Fund-Raiser of Crafts and Antiques will be held Sunday, May 27, at the Schoepke Town Hall, Highway 45, Pelican Lake. The event is sponsored by Pelican Lake Women's Civic Club.

Ask most anyone who has hunted turkeys in Wisconsin about their hunting experiences and you will get a variety of answers.
