The Eagle River Great Northern Beer Festival will be held on Saturday, June 9 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the festival grounds of Hi-Pines Campground in Eagle River. This year's event will feature microbrews and craft beers from breweries in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, Washington, and New York, along with a homebrewing demonstration and sampling. Attendees will receive a souvenir tasting glass and can learn about the brewing process from brew masters and people who have made this ancient art their life's passion. Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Northwoods and the Eagle River Area Jaycees will be selling food on the festival grounds.

Advanced tickets are $15 and are available at Trig's Cellar 70s in Rhinelander, Eagle River, Minocqua, and Wausau, and at the Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center. To order by mail or online, go to www.greatnorthernbeerfestival.com. Tickets will also be available at the gate for $20. Designated drivers are admitted free when accompanying a paid admission.
