Hildebrand unveils new web site
Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home has unveiled its new Web site format. In addition to offering basic information about the funeral home's history, staff bios, and more, the Web site will now feature a community calendar.
The Web site currently generates thousands of hits per month and will only generate more in the future. All community organizations are invited to send their notices about upcoming meetings and events to hildebrandfh.com for posting. A calendar exists on the right side of the home page under which the words “post new event” appear. All events will be screened prior to posting by the staff.
Obituaries and online guestbooks where family and friends can express their condolences will continue to be a trademark of the site. New video tributes can be added to the guestbooks giving all a photo / musical retrospective of the deceased's life. Helpful links to other areas of interest such as Social Security and Forest Home Cemetery are also included.
Inquiries about the new format and its operation are welcomed at the Hildebrand-Russ business office at 365-4343 or at hildebrandfh.com.

The other side of health care (01.10.2007)
Polls show that, if there is one thing the American people are more concerned about than any other (save, perhaps, national security), it's health care. And rightly so. Lots of people are willing to gamble that they will stay reasonably healthy up to 40 or thereabouts - which is why so many younger people don't bother to buy health insurance, thereby providing politicians with that ominous-sounding statistic that million Americans don't have health insurance.” (The more unscrupulous ones even declare that million Americans don't have health care” - which is flatly untrue, since anyone who can make it to a hospital emergency room is legally entitled to free care there and then.)
